Love these shorts - bought a second pair.
First the sizing.... which can be nebulous at times....
I'm 6'-1" tall and 180 lbs. My waist actually measures 35" with a seamstress tape but all the pants (jeans etc...) I wear are labeled 34" and they just about fall down without wearing a belt (go figure). I ordered the Large and this fits perfectly. The chamios is an interesting shape (and color) and appears to do the job well. The material is very "breathable" and it doesn't retain any body heat.
Well, I had a chance to put 600 miles on my first pair. I wear them for every ride and wouldn't think of riding without them. I finally bought a second pair and initiated them on a 20 mile ride in 35 degree (1.7 degrees C) weather and they were great. No soreness in the butt and they fit great - even over some full length compression tights.

My Favorite Cycling Shorts - but beware sizing
This is the best pair of cycling shorts I've ever owned. They're made in Canada with very high quality materials, and the stitching is first rate. They have just the right amount of padding, and as a bonus, the chamois is colored like a baboon's face. But be aware, they run small. I have a 31 inch waist and an athletic build, yet I had to exchange the mediums I ordered for size large.
Defective stitching in legs
I have had four pairs of these and I have had problems with two pairs of them. The elastic portion at the bottom of the leg is not stitched correctly and it starts to unravel. I called Sugoi and they were unaware of the problem. The pad and other construction quality is excellent.
